Ben Graham Smith

I am a California-born, East Coast-bred treatment writer and screenwriter based in Los Angeles. I got my start reading scripts for peanuts and decided it was high time I wrote something I thought others might like to read. For years I worked odd jobs supporting this writing habit I couldn’t seem to kick, and in the process discovered my true vocation. After penning a slew of feature films, original pilots and television specs I began branching out into commercial work, where I learned that whatever the medium, I believe in the power of the written word. In particular I thrive on collaborating with directors to see these words brought to life on-screen.

I’ve always felt that a script or treatment should never feel like a mere blueprint. It should be written in such a way that reading it alone feels like watching a film. As the old saying goes, if it’s not on the page, it’s not on the stage, and this is where I come in. I look forward to our collaboration.
